Web-Page Construction Procedure:

Warning: Arden & Greg assume no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to your hardware, your software, your documents, your health, or your sanity that may occur during and/or after following this procedure.

  1. Go to the Finder, and make a New Folder;
  2. name the untitled folder "WebPages folder", or simply "WebPages";
  3. use Netscape Navigator 3.0 to go to http://www.slip.net/~gyahna/links.html ;
  4. download an html editor like BBEdit, or Symantec's (wysiwyg) VisualPage;
  5. Open SimpleText or your html editor;
  6. write a text document named "index.html" with your mailto: = "mailto:[your name]'s_E-mail"
  7. repeat forever:
    1. correct the document with your html editor;
    2. Save it;
    3. drag its icon onto that of Netscape Navigator 3.0;
    4. view the document with Netscape;
    5. if it fails to pass your inspection, then return to start of repeat loop;
    6. Open an FTP program such as Fetch;
    7. go to your FTP site's folder "public.html" on the Web-server at :
      ftp://[your ISP (Internet Service Provider)].com/public.html
    8. using Fetch: mount, upload, or Put the document into folder "public.html", thus:
      • upload (Put) html files (such as "index.html") as text
      • upload (Put) pix files (GIFs, JPEGs, &c) as raw data

    9. Fetch_Help_@_[your ISP (Internet Service Provider)].com
      http://www.[your ISP (Internet Service Provider)].com/Web/
    10. using Netscape Navigator 3.0, view the document at
      http://www.[your ISP].com/~[your online name]/index.html
    11. if it fails to pass your inspection, then return to start of repeat loop.
