Gateway Realty was established in 1987 by Kelly Husbands, Broker and Owner of the business. It was originally part of the Century 21 system. At that time the office was located at 1944 Ocean Avenue in San Francisco. In 1991 we moved from Ocean Avenue to a building that we owned one block off Ocean Avenue at 201 Granada Avenue. This relocation provided more office space and more street parking without meters.

In 1993 Gateway Realty became an independent real estate company, providing superior service for clients throughout the Bay Area with special emphasis on San Francisco and Northern San Mateo County.

Many of our agents have been with the company since its beginning in the nineteen eighties and have long experience in the real estate business.

Our goal is to provide the best possible service to help our clients meet their real estate needs by bringing knowledge, skill, and experience to each transaction so that this goal can be accomplished in an efficient and timely manner.

Our specialty is residential real estate sales, which includes all categories of residential properties from condominiums and townhouses to single family homes to multi-unit buildings. However, over the years, we have also sold many mixed use properties, vacant lots, churches, and businesses, including laundromats, stores, night clubs and bars.

Gateway Realty is a relatively small office with slightly fewer than twenty agents, who provide personal service to our clients. Our agents are skilled, hard working and experienced in helping our clients meet their real estate needs whether buying or selling properties.
