Shell Family in California, May 2003

Forestville

The house in Forestville, built by Fred et al, and official residence of the Shell/Stieglitz family from approx 1974-1979. Just like us, hasn't changed a bit! Well, maybe a little.

Like the rest of us, Deb was stunned and amazed.

Deb made this chest, I think? Still in service, more than 20 years later. Not shown in any of these photos are the amazing kitchen cabinets, also still going strong.

We were lucky to visit during a very wet May. Come summer, the theme would have been what we here in California euphemistically call "golden". Note the little red toolshed, beloved by millions.

The many greenhouse windows were added after we left. Very tasteful.

One of the beloved and rustic sheds, big brothers to the tool shed. These were potting studio and living quarters for a while, I think.
