Think of this site as an artist's portfolio. It is not a catalogue.

Mr. Rioso hand builds about 4 instruments a year. He has no distributers. But you can see his instruments, once built, in the SF Bay Area's finer guitar shops, or on their web sites.Sure, he will build you a guitar; he loves this stuff.

But...Mr. Rioso is pre - Dot.Com, so you can email him questions or smart-alec remarks, or - better still - lavish praise, and the best he will offer in response is his (510) phone number for a one-on-one discussion.

He knows what you really want to know. That is "HOW MUCH?". His most basic versions of these guitars start at $1500 to $2000. Banjos start at $550 to $600. Inlay is available from Mz. Rioso. Add-ons and fancinesses are extra.

The seven-string Dionysian is an example of a basic instrument. Mr. Rioso prefers basic, no frills instruments.

You will never see his guitars in a discount guitar store. Think of Gepetto as an ex-pro musician with a hippy-dip attitude and tendonitis. He hates cigars and will never own a Korean sweat shop. (Presumably he could own a Mexican or Bolivian sweat shop.) He loves new adventurous ideas. Call him, why not?
