Origin and devourer of all things,
without beginning, the beginning of all,
creator, protector and destroyer...

Resuming after dissolution
your own nature dark and formless
you alone remain as One,
ineffable and inconceivable.

Kali is Digambari, Clothed in Space
the black creative Vastness,
the Power that renews life out of death,
and that dissolves all forms in Time:
thus she is garlanded with skulls,
signifying her liberation of all spirit
into Union with the All.
