Joan B was made to commemorate the premature and unexpected death of Bay Area artist, Joan Brown. It was first exhibited at the Rena Bransten Gallery in San Francisco in 1990 and was subsequently shown in 1994 at the Pacific Rim Sculpture show in Hawaii. Our information indicates that it was sold by the John Natoulas Gallery, Davis, California but it's current location is unknown.
