impacts of projects (modeling) implementing guidelines of Caltrans, the
sponsoring local agency, or FHWA regulations [23 CFR §772] as
appropriate. |

Conduct air quality impact studies of projects and provide the necessary
analyses with respect to conformity to the federal clean air act (applying the
required local, state or federal protocols). |

Prepare and investigate soundwall designs to shield wayside receptors,
generally using an FHWA-approved barrier attenuation model, and tally
benefits for cost comparisons. |
