David Rosenthal is an experienced, credentialed public school teacher, and a published poet. In addition to his experience as a classroom teacher in Oakland and Berkeley, David has taught poetry at the Berkeley Unified School District's elementary and middle school Cazadero Music Camp Jumpstart programs for the past four years, and has led professional development workshops on teaching poetry. His poems have been widely published in literary journals throughout the United States and abroad, including Measure, Blue Unicorn, The Lyric, Modern Haiku, and The Formalist. He is a past Pushcart Prize nominee, and a finalist in the prestigious Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award. He lives in Berkeley with his wife and two daughters. |
