  1. Park & Water Bond Workshop
    Trust for Public Land & the Planning & Conservation League have scheduled a workshop. The purpose is to identify the funding possibilities in these complex measures.

    The PCL.ORG website has a lot of information on these also, including very specific detail on what was funded in the budget for this year and what funds remain.

  2. A couple of small grant opportunities
    Trust For Public Land also funds tree grants in amounts ranging from $500-$5000 through California Re-Leaf. Application deadline is 11/10 for decisions 12/18/00. Email elisabeth.hoskins@tpl.org or call 949-642-0127 for guidelines & application form.

    The California Parks Foundation funds volunteer activities for Earthday (April 21, 2001) through grants of up to $2000. Contact earthday@calparks.org or call 415-258-9975. An application form is due 12/1 for grants made 1/8/01. Last year District 16 had no applicants, I am determined to change that this year!
