Dear DIA, A big thank you to Councilmember Dick Spees and his
assistant Niccolo DeLuca for their leadership
convincing the Oakland City Council to fund a crossing
guard for Sequoia on Lincoln Avenue.
And a round of applause to neighbor Al Ferreti for
volunteering as a crossing guard in the meantime.
Sean Yokomizo of The Montclarion and Tim Chapman of
DIA's DimondNews website provided excellent coverage
of this issue to keep the community informed of our
progress.
