Rather than call it "mental drift," we really should be thinking of it more as a way to give our Guardian Angels some time to get ahead. I was told once by a prominent researcher in the field, my mother, that our Guardian Angels can only fly 55 miles per hour (88.51392 km/hr for the non-Americans out there), which just so happens to correspond to the speed limit on the state highways in California. None the less, my own research as a teenager in a '77 Camero (pictured at right) proved that Guardian Angels (or at least my Guardian Angel) can fly much faster than 55 miles per hour. However, I also know that most of us have to work up our guardian angels, or they get lazy. My experience shows that we can work our guardian angels up to speeds in access of 100 miles per hour with only limited damage done to our physical body. None the less, none of my research has gone to testing whether or not my guardian angel can withstand the speeds (or altitudes for that matter) that a typical commercial airline faces every flight. With this in mind, I am more than happy to let my guardian angel get a jump start on the trip to Russia. While this means that my Guardian Angel is not with me 100% over the next few days, I have a feeling I am going to need him when I get to Russia! |
