Policy Terms

Fees

Fees are $70 per 50-minute session. Payments (check or cash) are due on a monthly basis. Invoices will be sent out at the end of the month (via , e-mail, or hand delivered based on your preference), and payment is due by the next session of the new month. Excessive delays in payment may result in termination of services.

Cancellations

Please notify me of a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a full session’s charge. Please notify me of vacations as far in advance as possible.

Telephone Consultations and School Consultations

Regular (about every 2 months) conferencing via phone, in person, or in writing, providing ongoing progress updates, is free. Other calls pertaining to consultations, referrals, IEP’s, advocacy work, etc… will be charged in 15-minute increments at my regular rate of $70 per hour. I do not charge to cancel or reschedule appointments. Any additional meetings at school or with allied professionals will be billed at my hourly rate including travel time.

3-Week Probationary Period

In any tutoring situation it is important that there is a good match between the tutor and the student. After the third tutoring session I will meet with the parent(s) to discuss how the sessions have been going and to make a decision on a long term tutoring plan. This can be a short, informal meeting before a session or the parent(s) can request a formal session to discuss my assessments, strategies and recommendations.

Session Observations

Observation of sessions is always welcome Please, no interruptions during the sessions On request I will leave time at the end of the session for questions or comments

Causes for Termination of Services

I reserve the right to terminate services at my discretion for reasons including but not limited to frequent cancellations, nonpayment for services, and missing scheduled sessions without giving notice.
