This past weekend was the first one in a
long time that I let myself sit back and enjoy. And as soon as I started
focusing on the wonderfulness that Tim has brought into my life, all the
other stresses just didn't seem so important. We both felt very tender
and sweet towards one another almost the whole weekend, and we synced up
so perfectly at times that I swear I could taste how good it all
is. Mmm. Sunday Tim and I wrote a round-robin collaboration. We sat
at Pergolesi and took turns typing 200 - 300 words on my iBook before
turning it around and laughing at one another's expression. We were
trying to write one another into a corner, as Tim put it, which certainly
took the story places I'd have never thought of otherwise. The end result
is fun, but possibly unmarketable - you can tell I had sex on the brain,
but it's far too weird a story to sell as erotica. Anyway, I told Tim I
wanted to do this on a regular basis; it's both an excellent writing
exercise and a very sweet, productive thing to do as a couple. It pleases
me deeply. Ah, this is me most of the weekend, almost mooning over the
fact that I have such a cool, sweet, cute, creative, wonderful
boyfriend. We hottubbed with Carjoi (Carol and Jodi) on Saturday, and it
was a nice, comfy, relaxing time. Jodi even remarked at one point how
nice it was to hang out with a couple who is still in the lovey-dovey
phase of their relationship too (I should point out that Carjoi have been
like this for as long as I've known them, which is over three years
now; I've always loved that about them, even when I was single). Everyone
was very laid-back and no one tried too hard to be social every moment we
were together. Very nice.
Hm, this turned out to be one of those super-sweet journal entries about
Tim. Ah, these things happen. It just sure is nice to have someone so
special, right, to be this happy about.
Ahhh.
7/12/01 - Stretched, did 150 situps and 20 minutes on the precor
today. Yes, this
is a new entry, I just did the exact same thing.

Sweetness of Being
(with you)
You should all know that Tim has got
your back. Several times this weekend he chastised me for leaving this
page almost entirely blank for 4 days. I do have a bit of trouble pulling
my attention from him, and this weekend was so wonderful I was afraid to
blink and miss a bit of it. Exercise log:
Writing log:
Revised "Janitor's Night Dive" on Saturday. Sunday Tim and I wrote our
first collaboration round-robin style, "Blue Chuck Does Thrilltown" which
is very silly, but fun and hey! we wrote a story together! I got
rejections from two of the four stories I sent out on the 4th of
July. Ah, well. The latest rejection included a handwritten note urging
me to submit more stuff to them, so that's encouraging :-)
I'm currently reading:
Genuis of Deceit by Tim Pratt
Slowly, chapter by chapter :-)
