Let's
see. Wednesday Tim got here and we journeyed off to Good Vibrations
(with, as my sister tells it: "a grocery list of sex toys!"; Holly is
such a cute little prude). After discovering that Good Vibes selection
was indeed too limited for some of the items on our wish list, we went off
to infuse ourselves with protein at Ichi's. Ichi was very nice to
"Tim-san", and gave him extra mystery rolls. It was delicious, as
usual. After Ichi's, a walk around Lake Merritt (part way around), talk
about fiction, general romance. You know, all the beauty I could wish
for. Thursday was a bad day for me at work. The heat really, really got
to me, but Janine wouldn't let me leave early. I had a lovely lunch with
Tim and Susan, where they
gave me much sympathy over my declining interest in bookkeeping. They
waited until I could get off work, and we walked to BART by way of the
Eucalyptus grove on Berkeley campus. That evening, Tim and I went over
to Susan's for dinner. When we got there, Susan had trapped another
spider (Tim had rescued a big hairy spider for her earlier that day),
which Tim promptly (and quite accidentally) set free again in her
apartment. The evening was otherwise quite successful, with yummy white
fish (that starts with a vowel) in bean sauce, risotto and much, much
wine. We had good conversation. Eventually Tim and I stumbled home and
worked on that exercise log of mine. Friday, I was feeling horrible and
I called in sick. After catching up on some sleep, Tim treated me to
Mama's where I had fruit crepes and scrambled eggs. Later on, we went
into the City to Stormy Leather, where we hoped to finish our sex toy
shopping and instead fell in love (the both of us) with a cute leather
corset called "Collette" (it had ruffles; I want it badly). Anyway,
because of my ill planning we had to BART back to Oakland for an hour
before BARTing back for dinner with Holly and Justin. We had Thai food
(yum) and Holly gave us presents from Bali. I now own two gorgeous
sarongs (one green and blue and purple and one a bright orange, green and
gold), a exqusite set of carved chopsticks and a velvet top (that matches
both sarongs). She also gave Tim a intracately woven prayer shawl (which
she said was for storytellers, but I suspect she was making that part
up). Much loveliness. We ended the night in New Hack City, where Holly
and I danced, Tim thought about fiction and Justin spinned music. Ah,
I'm at the end of my story, more or less. We must go to Santa Cruz before
it gets much later and I wear on Tim's glorious patience. I'm still
learning him, see, and I'm not yet sure where I can push my luck
;-) Have a lovely weekend, dearies.

Spiders and Leather (among other things)
Ah, I am writing this right before leaving for Santa Cruz with Tim. He
came down to stay with me on Wednesday night, and it's been a blissful
couple of days just *being* with him. We get along so well! We do feel
as if we know each other very well already, but as time goes by we're
discovering things we didn't quite know about each other before. For
example, right now Tim is patiently waiting for me to get my stuff
together so we can leave for Santa Cruz. He is not being impatient; in
fact, he is being wonderful. He says this is because there is no where we
have to be anytime soon (the Old 97's concert isn't until later tonight),
so there's no point in being impatient. He just isn't. This is generally
my take on timeliness, but some people get very annoyed with me for my
slow packing/moving out the door process. I'm slowly learning that things
are much more laid back with Tim. Ahhh, it's bliss. Exercise log:
Tim would like me to mention all the great sex we've been having. Yes,
indeedy, I am a happy, happy girl.
Writing log:
Soon, really, honestly, I swear!
