Happy Vernal Equinox everyone! So, the past couple of days haven't been very good. It's all better now, which is why I risk discussing it at all, but Tim and I had such a nasty fight Monday night that we didn't really speak again until this morning. I guess it's for the best, giving us both time to get our heads, hearts and moods together, but last night I was so despairing. We really hate fighting; we love each other very much, and that's what wins out in the end, but it's always scary. Anyway, we talked tonight and it's over now and all is well again. On top of that, I am definitely getting sick. I think I have what Tim had last week - sore throat, nausea, sinus pressure, lack of energy and headaches. Oh, and earaches. Nasty. I stayed home sick today so I could sleep (didn't sleep well the past few nights, as I was heart-sick and missing Tim), but I'm still feeling ill. I'm planning on going to bed early tonight; sleep is the great healer. I can't afford to miss any more work. One bright spot: last night I hung out with David, who is an awesome friend. He kept my spirits up, talking about all sorts of things so I wouldn't dwell on things and cry all night long. He made the evening bearable. Tonight, Tim and I reconnected, caught up, snuggled. We indulged ourselves with Barney's takeout and a DVD (Session 9 - creepy before it even got scary and rather well done, for a horror flick ;-). Nice to have my boyfriend back; I really missed him yesterday. I guess that's it for right now. Hope you're all enjoying the first day of spring. It's been cold here, but today seemed suddenly warmer, as if nature caught a glimpse at the calendar and took pity on us. Of course, the sun came out for me in many ways today; if I only felt better, it would be a good day. By the way, I've updated both my Bibliography page and my Links page recently. Indiana friends might especially want to check out Todd and Jen's comic page link that I just put up. Oh, and Greg's most recent entry gives me the warm fuzzies. Lately I've realized that I'm not as competitive with other writers as I used to be, and his entry touches on maybe why that is (in general, of course, not just for me). Nice. |
