Thursday, March 13th, 2003 - Burnt

Am pervy sword fancier! Love it! It's a little known fact that Nimue settled in the lake w/ Excaliber after all that Arthur stuff was over and had little posh pocket knives . . .

Hee!

In other, non-VSD news, our kitchen caught on fire last night. Ok, so that's a mild exaggeration . . . Holly was broiling something and left it to bathe the baby (?). Tim and I were sitting on the couch watching Six Feet Under (it's all about death! How morbid and sad!) when he says to me, he says, "Remind me to tell you later about Howard Stern" and I, being all funny, pause the show and turn to face him on the couch, "Tell me now." Well, he does (all about the poor sound engineer agreeing to "take anal for 2 minutes live on air for 5 years salary"). Turning to him, I noticed something flashy and yellow in the kitchen. "Hey Tim," I says, "is the brolier supposed to be so enthusiastic when broiling? I think our kitchen's on fire."

Tim turns and sees the flames and bolts up. "Where's the fire extinguisher?" I'm so glad he said that, 'cause otherwise I'd have been searching for the Baking Soda . . . anyway, I grabbed the extinguisher but couldn't figure out how to work it (I didn't know about the safety pin), so Tim had to both open the broiler and shoot it with the f.e. Anyway, there was much smoke, and we had to open all the windows and concoct a story to tell the landlady if she noticed the smoke billowing out of the house . . . v. exciting. Tim said I kept a calm head, which always pleases me (I only freak out when there's nothing to freak out about . . . ).

Yeah.

That's the main thing I wanted to tell you all about today. That's it. Tried to go to bed early, Tim woke me up when he got into bed, almost got in knock-down-drag-out-fight about being woken up, I was that tired last night. So, I slept in this morning. Ahhh. What a luxury, sleeping 'till eight!

Ok. Am really going now. Ciao!
