Monday October 23rd - Brief Hello from Indiana
Burning Man
Photo Gallery
2000
I love this season in this state. I love my mom and my sister. And I love hanging out, spending time with old friends. Oh, lord, I'm having a great time! I almost wish I could move back here, so I could hang out with Holly and Mom, Kellie and Brian and Craig and Daniel and Kristen all the time. And the cats! Gryffyn is so cute and soft and cuddly; I think he thinks I'm here to stay! I'll tell you more later, I just had to gush for a moment . . .

Exercise log:

Was gonna work out on Friday, but ended up walking around the old neighborhood with Mom. On Saturday I hiked 3.5 miles with Kellie and Brian in Brown County, not to mention the shopping in Nashville, IN. Sunday found Mom and I hiking 3 miles or so with her Sierra Club group. And last night, Craig and I were led on a most satisfying exploration of Bulter College campus by Daniel, where we found faerie fountains and phallic monuments in the crisp autumn night. Reminded me of how we used to prowl the nights in college together. Old friends are the best.

Writing log:

Finished a decent rough draft of my Samhain article; 2900 words or so.

I'm currently reading:

Home for Fierce Invalids by Tom Robbins

Woman: An Intimate Geography by Natalie Angier

Daughter of Fortune by Isabelle Allende
