Holly

Star of Heaven

Holly is my little sister. We're so close that occasionally we'll get confused as to which one of us is which (have you ever experienced another person's thoughts as if they were your own?). I'd venture to say she's my soulmate, or one of them, at any rate.

Holly's current goal in life is to "bellydance around the world". Admirable goal. Though we both were trained in all sorts of dancing growing up, Holly is (I'll admit it) much more involved in the dance world as an adult. She's been studying bellydancing since her trip out here last summer (where we took a few classes together). I saw her dance a bit when I was home in December and she's quite good. Unfortunately, she's "not greek enough" to look like a native. Don't tell her to try Irish step-dancing;"They don't use their arms!".

I should have mentioned that Holly is still stuck, er, I mean, living in Indiana. She's graduating this spring with a major in English (what a curse!) and a minor in philosophy (which was a major until her advisor took her senior year on sabbatical and left her with only a Christian Ethics course to complete her major!). What she will do after that is anybody's guess, though she has a few ideas. Too bad she doesn't care for California! I miss her!

Holly graduates May 2nd, the day after Beltane! She's going to wear flowers in her hair, er, mortar board.

Holly has been dancing at the Parthenon (a greek restaurant in Indianapolis) on the weekends, and I hear she's starting to get hired for private parties! She must be getting *really* good! It's a good thing I love her so much, or I'd be jealous!
