This low-stress, radius-top guitar is my take on the traditional floating bridge/tail piece Jazz (archtop) guitar.
The break angle over the bridge is low at 9° instead of the high stress traditional 15°. Half of the stress means a thinner top. The top is about half as thick as an carved archtop, and it's bent (not carved) so there's no short grain runout.
It has the bass of a flat top and the clank of an archtop. Very nice for sensitive finger style or chunk/clank pick style. Everything about the design is focused on balance, comfort, and simple elegance.
