Fine Art Painting Classes

Acrylic Painting

Acrylics are a versatile medium which offers many possibilities and ways of speaking. Each idea speaks best through a different technique. A variety of techniques will be taught such as glazing, impasto, stenciling, collaging, gold leaf, and mixed media. Janet Lipkin, BFA, Instructor, works included in Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Pre-registration required.

Let Me Bring Out the Painter in You! A Drawing & Painting Class

No experience necessary! Open to beginners as well as advanced students. Individual instruction. You'll learn: drawing in preparation for painting, composition, painting techniques and "your choice with my guidance."

Film Series: The Children of Chabannes
(Lisa Gossels, USA, 92 min.)

A tale of courage, resilience and love during WWII, this film tells the story of how the people of Chabannes, a tiny village in unoccupied France, chose action over indifference and saved the lives of 400 Jewish refugee children. 2001 Emmy Award Winner

Film Series: Hiding and Seeking - Faith and Tolerance After the Holocaust
(USA, 85 min.)

The story of a father who tries to alert his adult Orthodox sons to the dangers posed by defenders of the faith who preach intolerance of the "other". To broaden their views he takes them on an emotional journey to Poland. Filmed in Jerusalem, Brooklyn and Poland. Facilitated discussion with Ted Feldman following the film.
