Route 53 Alternatives

The proposed routing alternatives from AC Transit are:

1. Coloma: The bus goes down Lincoln Avenue, takes a right on Coloma and then a left onto Fruitvale.

2. Damuth: The bus goes down Lincoln Avenue, takes a right on Damuth and then a left onto Fruitvale.

3. Dimond: The bus goes down Lincoln and turns right onto MacArthur; the bus stays on MacArthur though the Fruitvale intersection and then turns left on Dimond, left on Montana, and right onto Fruitvale.

These alternatives would address the following concerns:

• A left-turning bus would tie up traffic at the Fruitvale/Mac intersection
• Keeping the bus stop in front of BofA, where there are no businesses fronting right on the sidewalk.
