After the helpful rangers at the entrance to Yellowstone, the next greeting at the park came from the Bison...
This particular herd of bison decided to take their time as they crossed the road. Not surprisingly, Anna's driving became very slow at this point...
It is quite amazing to be so close to these animals. They clearly dominate the speed of the environment... In other words, if they are moving slow (as they almost always are), then all the cars, and people are moving slow... When they speed up, and they can run faster than a horse, then everything around them seems to speed up as well!!!
