Sunday, August 27th - Burning Man Packing List
Yesterday we had our first and only meeting before we head off to Burning Man. I'm not leaving until Thursday, but Jacob is leaving tomorrow and Ian on Tuesday, so we have to make sure the group stuff is all worked out. This year we'll be at 7:30 and Brain at Camp Wasabi (Opening the Third Nostril); this is by far the most prestigious camp I've ever been associated with at Burning Man, and it has a great location - Center Camp is at 6 o'clock and Brain, just to give you an idea. My only worry is that we'll have enough room to pitch 3 more tents by Thursday night - the more popular camps get a lot of traffic, and it's easy for "real estate" space to fill up. But, I put a lot of work into that parachute (brilliant patches of color, including a loud piece of red, black and gold plaid from my Mom's 1970's fabric scraps) and I paid for 1/5 the dome, so I have a right to a space.
I'm getting excited.
Anyhow, in case any of you are going, or are just curious, I'm posting my packing list. I won't try to separate it into categories; the notepad I'm working from is scattered. Enjoy!
