Dear Diary . . . day by day

Saturday, August 18th, 2001 - What lurks is no more ...

A half an hour before Tim and I leave for our date, and here I think I can get dressed and write a journal entry in that time! What a maniac I am!
Today, I am pleased with life. Actually, I've been generally pretty happy for the past few days, and that mood is really starting to feel all comfy, like I could keep it on for awhile. I haven't nagged Tim about household stuff all week, which makes him pretty happy. I'm almost done with the second of two freelance writing assignments, which is such a relief I can hardly tell you; the first one was emotionally trying, which meant I kept putting off the second one . . anyway.
Today, today we cleaned out the 'fridge! So many little bottle and jars left behind by the former housemates, it was insane! Crazy! We took everything out, sorted through it, cleaned out the inside thouroughly, and put back what we wanted to keep. And you know what? For the first time since I've been living in this house (3.5 years) you can see what we have in the 'fridge just be opening the door! No squatting, digging through questionable containers of rotting food to see what's lurking in the back. No more of that! We have a normal refridgerator! We rock!
Well, this is such an exciting moment that I think I'll leave on that note so as not to spoil the glory, the loveliness of it all.
