It helps that I have such a
wonderful support network out here these days. Tim is
amazing, a wonderful boyfriend who makes my evenings sing. Today I woke
up to Susan leaving a
answering machine message asking me out to lunch. We had a very nice time
eating Mexican food and drinking margarittas at Picante. I got a sneak
preview of the painting she's been doing, and it's just lovely. She chose
a soothing shade of green (a color I've noted accenting her apartment
before and have begun to think of a "Susan green") and did a really nice
job with the details of the molding. Anyway, I have good
friends. That's about it for today. Good friends and a clean
refridgerator that brings me joy everytime I open it. Little
things. Little Gods of Joy.
Check out my
article on Nalo Hopkinson's Midnight Robber in Strange
Horizons. Warning: If you haven't read the book,
this article will spoil all the plot twists for you; so go buy her book
and read it first!

Little Gods of Joy
Thank you everyone who wrote with condolences about yesterday's
entry. I'm still pretty sad, but right now I'm focusing on the anger side
of things. It's still unsteady, but I feel pretty justified in being
angry, and it makes me feel strong. Exercise log:
Shaggin'.
Writing log:
More on SF Guide. It WILL be done tonight, dammit.
