My new PO Box is:

P.O. Box 13222

This is also Tom Waits' 51st birthday. Happy birthday, Tom.

I feel like I have no time. It's this working an 8 hour day thing that's getting me again; after I come home from working out, I make something to eat, and eat it. Then I don't feel like doing anything. I spend my days staring at a computer screen, so I usually don't want to do anything online. And chores are sometimes hard to make myself do. And even if I get more time by skipping my workout, I have less energy. So I usually end up reading in my free time, which I enjoy, but doesn't help the piles of stuff laying around, waiting to be done.

I keep getting good ideas for novels, but I have no time or focus to start working on them. And these are definitely novel ideas, not short stories, which makes them even easier to put off and put off. I am simply queen of procrastination these days. Sigh.

I did go hang out with David last night and we had a good time, I think. There was a new Simpsons episode, where Marge gets kidnapped by the Hell's Satans, and it was certainly one of the better new ones in recent memory. Then David beat me at Rummy again, which is never a good idea; I'm too competitive and this is one game I know I can win. At least I used to. There's a lot of luck in that game, of course, and it didn't help that I kept dealing him my Aces. Anyway.

I'm attempting a journal entry at 7am and that's probably not a good idea. I'm gonna go finish breakfast (muselix and vanilla enriched soy milk, oh, and a coke) and get dressed. Have a good day, yous.

Exercise log:

Some stretching last night in front of David's heater.

Writing log:

Working on an article on Octavia Butler for Strange Horizons.

I'm currently reading:

Darwinia by Robert Charles Wilson

Woman: An Intimate Geography by Natalie Angier
