Sunday, December 29th, 2002 -

After spending quite awhile trying to get the Kodak software to work with my computer, I'm giving up and just writing a plain ol' journal entry (sans pictures) after all. Those of you with slow connections/computers can thank me later.

Hi.

There has been too much going on lately for me to give any of it proper attention that it deserves. My mother arrived in town on the 14th; she's here for a month (two weeks now). Aliester was born on December 17th (for those of you who couldn't load the pictures on the last entry, which I still haven't adjusted, even though Jon was kind enough to adjust for me and send back). My maternal grandmother died on the night of the 18th; if she had lived 8 more days, she would have had her 99th birthday. This past one deserves an entry of its own, especially since my mother was more or less trapped out here and unable to attend her own mother's funereal, which is a cruel twist of fate (any other year Holly and I would've come home for Xmas, meaning that the whole family would've been able to attend the funereal, which was the 23rd). And then, of course, there's Xmas and the gifts and all the associated merriment to go over.

Oof.

Talk back.
