I woke up early
this morning, this after staying up late and not being able to fall asleep
when I *did* go to bed. Sigh. I hate insomnia. It's been a bugaboo of
mine for years and years now, but the past few months it hasn't seemed to
bug me quite as often, so I'm all grouchy about it now. Of course, I'm
probably just blocking out nights like last night, they probably happen a
lot more frequently than I like to remember. I woke up at 6:30 this
morning (alarm is set for 8) wide awake but completely drained. Good
morning to you! One good thing about waking up early is that I eat
breakfast. Well, sometimes I do. I've been kinda bad lately about
feeding myself; I find it depressing to cook for one person. Of
course, I won't have that excuse soon, what with Tim living with me
and everything. We seem to cook together well, so I'm hoping we get
in that habit and eat well. We're really very good for one
another. Speaking of food, last night Susan fed me dinner, a delicious
bean soup that I kept eating bowls and bowls of. I always have a nice
time hanging out with Susan. I really get a kick out of being able to
walk around the corner to hang out and have girltalk. It's something I
had in Franklin (more or less), but this is the first time I've had a
friend living so close out here. Yay, friends! Ah, I'm not
really coherent, so I'm gonna go get dressed and get to work early. Have
a lovely weekend, y'all.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Mom, I did send you a card, honestly. There's even a decent letter
inside. Unfortunately, I forgot to mail it until yesterday, so you
probably won't see it on your birthday. Sorry! But Happy Birthday
anyway! Holly and I both think you're the most wonderful mom ever, and
we're very proud of you and love you very much. Exercise log:

Writing log:
Figured out the entire background history of the world of my novel by
brainstorming with Ian earlier this week. This prompted some
restructuring of the novel, the beginning of a new chapter outline, and
the urge to write. I honestly think I'm very close to being ready to
start writing the Prologue and Part 1; I have a scene-by-scene outline of
Chapter 1. I'm so very excited!
I'm currently reading:
Genuis of Deceit by Tim Pratt
Slowly, chapter by chapter :-)
Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson
