Tuesday, May 6th, 2003 - Polyphony!

I found out that I could talk about this almost immediately after posting that last entry. So, that big news I couldn't crow about last week?

"Restoration" has been accepted by Polyphony 3!!!!

As you can imagine, I'm pretty damn excited about this. In fact, I found this out after I'd already decided to do the May YA novel dare, and I had to tame my urge to write more short fiction (two of my very best stories are "Famishing" and "Restoration"; I have one more I'm super proud of "When We Were Twelve", and a couple of others I think are pretty good, then I'm out of quality spec fic to send out; must make more!) instead of doing the novel. But, well, I really wanted to do the dare (and it's working, making me write more diligently on it than I otherwise would have; it's the exposure -- currently there are only two other people doing the dare, but MANY more watching, and I can't resist a stage and will do my best to avoid dropping a line . . .

Anyway, that was my big news. I got into Polyphony! Go me!

Many voices! Here!
