This is where Fidel's ~93 year old grandmother lives. She cultivates about two acres of land around her house on her own. She grows millet, peanuts, corn, yams, lemmongrass, boma, harvests palm seeds for oil, and has planted a small forest of teak trees.That's Fidel cultivating with curious cousins who live in the house in background.

After about 4 days of studying me from behind rocks, the older girl decided I was safe enough to approach. She loved to play with my hair and I was honered by her acceptance and affections. We used sign language mostly to communicate.
