Thursday, June 22nd - Scattered
Thursdays might end up being rather shallow journal days, as I spent most of today scrambling to do my homework (some of which still is waiting to be done - sigh). I'm also rather tired as last night I stayed up late watching very, very bad television (I'm so ashamed I'm not even going to tell you what I was watching). It's that procrastination thing.

It honestly has not been a very productive week, despite the fact that yes, I now have two starts to the same story ready to turn in at class. But I'm still not unpacked from the camping trip this weekend. My shelf in the fridge is melting into one big uber-vegetable/slush pile and I'm sure my housemates are wondering if they're gonna hafta say something to me soon. There's a big mess of crates and bags and shit in the corner of the kitchen that I need to arrange (after I clean out my cooler, so it can be stashed back there). My room is so messy I get nervous - there are clothes EVERYWHERE, my big pack is still full of clothes that are probably covered in poison oak juice and I can't find my other good pair of sandals. My desk you cannot find under the bills (bills that have, at least, been paid - 3 months worth of paid bills, waiting to be filed). And let's not talk about the old newspapers and crap like that, ok?

What happened? I thought I was so with it.

Oh, yeah. For future reference: NEVER GO CAMPING TWO WEEKENDS IN A ROW. And, while I'm giving camping advice out, here are two important points: Drink lots of water and wear a hat in the sun. Hell, wear a hat under the redwoods, too; I am so brown (for me) right now because I thought I'd be ok, staying under the trees and all . . .

Ok, well, that's enough whining for now. I'm going to finish my homework, go work-out, grab some dinner (mmmm, maybe Sushi-A-Float) and head to class. I won't get home until 5 and a half hours after I leave work; we'll see how it goes and if I ever try something like this again.

Exercise log:

Lifted weights; did some legs, though my knee was giving me trouble earlier so I took it a little easy. I also did chest, triceps and abs.

Writing log:

Argh! Wrote a page of a new story (or maybe a different version of the first one) for class, David called so it was put on hold, and when I went back to the computer to send it to myself the computer crashed as I opened Telnet! Lost! Lost! Oh! It is lost!

I'm currently reading:

A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain by Robert Olen Butler (again, for my writing class)

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (aka "Bladerunner") by Phillip K. Dick
