Wednesday, May 31st - Best Laid Plans
It's been one of those days.

We're inputting all these sales leads into the database. There's lots and lots of them and they MUST be done by Friday afternoon. They have been faxed from Germany. They are business cards. They are blurry. And tiny. My shoulders hurt from hunching over and my eyes hurt from squinting. And let's just not talk about deciphering handwriting from the "notes" sections, ok?

So I decide to lift weights at lunch. After driving around for 20 minutes, looking for a parking space, I decide to pay to park in a garage where the only empty spot was on TOP. I make my way down to the locker room of the YMCA, where I open my gym bag only to realize . . .

I forgot my workout clothes.

I'd forgotten my socks yesterday, so I'd remembered those. But that was it. No shorts. No T-shirt. No jog-bra.

So, I shopped. I'm very good at shopping, and I needed to do something to destress.

It didn't really help. So I went to MP3.com where I downloaded Jeff's latest music from his band, Lumin. I managed to get it playing with no trouble, and soon I was lulled by some soothing middle eastern/trance beats. Ahhh. Now, THAT helped.

Exercise log:

Took a brisk, 25 minute walk at lunch.

Yoga class, which was very satisfying. I am much stronger and can hold some of the difficult poses longer than ever before!

Foundation and Empire (The second book of the foundation series, although I guess chronologically it's book 4) by Issac Asimov
