6-Week "Intro to Taiko" Course & Taiko Workshops

Throughout the year we schedule a 6 week course called "Intro to Taiko." The course is designed for those who would like to get a taste of playing taiko in class that moves at a moderate pace. The course covers basic form ("kata"), traditional rhythms, and students will learn 1 song by the completion of the course. No prior music experience is required and we supply all the equipment.

Special Taiko Workshops

Tatsumaki Taiko also conducts 1-day workshops for schools, organizations and special events. If you would like to schedule a workshop or want more information, please contact us:

Our 1-day taiko workshops are limited to a maximum of 16 students, and are designed mainly for beginners - no prior taiko experience is required. The fee is $12 per student, and the workshops are normally 3 hours in length. All taiko & equipment will be provided; students are advised to dress in workout gear, since taiko involves some strenuous physical activity.
