Tatsumaki Taiko is a group of percussionists from the San Francisco Bay Area, who are dedicated to celebrating the rhythms of diversity through the sound of taiko.

* Irasshaimase! * = 2026 TAIKO EVENTS = -- **2026 NEW** Come take our beginner taiko class!! "Intro to Taiko" is a course designed for new taiko players, no experience required. The next course is scheduled for 6 Sundays starting Jan 18, 2pm to 3:30pm. Please contact us for details and to reserve a place. Our classes are held at our taiko studio: 4521 Barrett Ave, Richmond (near the El Cerrito border). -- Our taiko class schedule: Sunday mornings @ 10am for our Community Group (Beginner) and 12pm for our Performing Group. Community Group also meets Tuesday evenings @ 6:30-8:30pm; and Performing Group rehearsals are Thursdays @ 6:30-8:30pm. -- "Genki Taiko" classes! Taiko for fun, fitness, and health. "Genki Taiko" happens on Fridays, 11am to 1pm. Classes are held at our new Barrett Ave. taiko studio.
