Silk by Alessandro Baricco

Powell's Books - Silk by Alessandro Baricco

A very, very good short read, but I was left with the feeling I'd just finished a high-end Bodice Ripper. Lyrical and bequiling, it bears repeated reading, for it's seductive prose hides a lot of hints about the motivations of the characters.
