a work in progress.. An evening of new work by Kyra Rice and Kerstin Stewart December 3 & 4 at 8PM Working from the assumption that we live in a time when we need to re-imagine our place in the world--how we interact with ourselves, each other and the earth--we create dances of disciplined freedom. Through meditations of symmetrical contact* and scored improvisations revealing authentic emotional states, we gently dismantle the barriers between performance and ritual in order to reconnect with nature--our human nature. 'To remember our beginnings and keep in mind our ever-elusive destination.' (Ben Okri) *Meditations on symmetrical contact inspired by Maria F. Scaroni's and Jess Curtis' Symmetry Transmission. |
