Tatsumaki Taiko is a group of percussionists from the San Francisco Bay Area, who are dedicated to celebrating the rhythms of diversity through the sound of taiko.

* Irasshaimase! * = 2024 TAIKO EVENTS = -- We are happy to be resuming our pre-COVID class schedule. Sunday mornings @ 10am in Alameda for both our Community Group (Beginner) and Performing Group. Tuesday evenings @ 6:30pm Albrier Rec Center, Community Group classes; and Thursdays @ 6:30pm Albrier Rec Center for Performing Group rehearsals. -- "Genki Taiko" classes! Fridays, 11am to 12:45pm at Live Oak Park Rec Center. We are teaching our taiko classes for fun, fitness, and health. "Genki Taiko" is being mananged via Berkeley Parks & Recreation. To enroll in "Genki Taiko" please see the City of Berkeley Parks & Recreation website -- https://rec.berkeleyca.gov/CA/berkeley-ca/catalog -- We are planning another "Taiko Basics" in June, the location will likely be Albier Rec Center in Berkeley. Tickets will be available via EventBrite, search for "Tatsumaki Taiko" to find the class information.
