TOPIC:
Presentation and curatorial practice

OBJECTIVE:
-students will understand how artwork is displayed has an effect upon how the viewer sees and understands it.
-answer the question "what message is being promoted in how an art show is curated?"

LITERACY:
look at post card homework, have students share descriptions and commentary.
-look at some examples of curatorial practices with lecture and note taking.

TOPIC:
Armistice Fair and what we want to say

OBJECTIVE:
-Present findings from homework
-Define Armistice Fair
-Students will develop a group theme or message for the post card exhibit at the culminating Armistice Fair.

LITERACY:
-small groups will get together, and from notes and reflection on web reading, students will curate a Post Card ehibition for Armistice Fair. Each group's exhibit will be entered into a competition the winner of which will be the way students will curate final Armistice Fair post card exhibit. Winner will be announced next week.

HOMEWORK:
- journal reflection on group work.

TOPIC:

OBJECTIVE:
-Students to continue working in small groups developing Armistice Fair post card exhibit for competition

LITERACY:
-brief lecture and slide show of more curatorial practices. Students take notes
-in their groups students continue to develop their show based on sharing journal notes and reflections.

TOPIC:
differences embraced, violence denied

OBJECTIVE:
- revisit class manifesto
- Students participate in engaged dialogue about personal issues, violence and current events
- students will have a voice and will be playing an active role on issues of violence and current events

LITERACY:
students to present their 3 post card findings or post cards they made and perform their rap/spoken word.
