OBJECTIVE:
SWBAT describe how several different diseases (ALS, MS, neurofibro-mitosis)
affect the nervous system.
SWBAT
explain how chemical warfare agents (nerve gases) used in WWI can
damage the nervous system and kill people.
LITERACY:
- Scientific reading and writing literacy skills will be emphasized
through reading apprenticeship program.

Oral literacy skills will also be addressed as students will be
assessed on a verbal explanation of how chemical weapons destroy
normal nervous system functioning.

OBJECTIVE:
SWBAT answer 75% of quiz questions correctly. Quiz questions
will be drawn exclusively from class assignments, readings, discussions,
and activities. In addition, it should be noted that quiz will be
constructed to enable various different student learning style strengths
to emerge (symbolic, visual, and kinesthetic)

Project Stem Cell Research and Opinions
OBJECTIVE:
SWBAT (in groups) list 3 pros & 3 cons for each issue related
to funding stem cell research (cost, efficacy & morality).
SWBAT
to also arrive at a consensus about the groupšs opinion.
